GAME JAM @ KL20 JOHOR

Game Jam @ KL20 Johor is an intensive 36-hour overnight game development challenge bringing together aspiring game developers, designers, artists and creators to turn ideas into playable game prototypes. Working in multidisciplinary teams, participants will ideate, design and develop their games within a limited timeframe before presenting their creations to a panel of judges at KL20 Johor. Whether you already have a team or are coming on your own, the Game Jam is an opportunity to create, collaborate, learn and connect with fellow game creators.

The 36-hour development challenge runs from Sunday to Monday, followed by the final pitching and judging session on the morning of 29 September 2026 at the Exhibition Kiosk.

Winners will be announced during the KL20 Networking Session later that day.

What's Provided

🍔 Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner & Supper (27–28 Sep). Food trucks available on 29 Sep.
😴 Comfort: Rest & breakout rooms, common area with bean bags & blankets.

Participants may register as a complete team of up to five members or individually. Participants without a complete team will be matched based on their experience and skill sets, including programming, game design, art and audio.

Scam Alert on Fraudulent Ticket Sales and Misleading Post-Event Information for KL20@Kuala Lumpur 2026

We would like to alert the public regarding unauthorised and irresponsible parties misusing information related to the KL20@Kuala Lumpur 2026.

It has come to our attention that these parties have altered the official Guidebook and set up fraudulent forms selling tickets to the public, falsely claiming the KL20@Kuala Lumpur event date has been rescheduled to 22 October 2026.

Please take note of the following critical facts:

The Event Has Concluded: The official flagship KL20 @ Kuala Lumpur event successfully took place on 19 October 2026. There is no official event happening on 22 October 2026.
Admission Was Completely FREE: All official KL20 chapters and sessions are strictly Free of Charge (FOC). The organisers have never authorised any third party to sell tickets or collect fees.
Official Channel Only: All verified announcements and updates are hosted exclusively on our official website, KL20.gov.my.

The Ministry of Economy is actively taking appropriate corrective and legal measures to address this matter. The public is strongly advised to ignore unofficial registration links and refrain from making any financial transactions.
